Expectations and Procedures
•Students are expected to follow school rules at all times, to be respectful of self and others
•Be attentive and participate in class discussion.
•Bring all supplies needed for class: a well-organized subject binder, spiral notebook, planner, pencil, blue or black ink pen, red-ink checking pen, covered textbook and any other materials requested by the teacher e.g. art materials.
Classwork/Homework
• All written work is done in ink and in cursive.
• Use college-rule loose-leaf.
• Complete and neat work.
• Follow specific guidelines given by the teacher for homework, tests and projects.
• Hand in work when due.
• Daily homework and/or projects and activities are to be written daily in the homework planner.
• Check out and responsibly read library book when assigned to be ready for reading activities.
Tutoring
Tutoring is available afterschool whenever needed. Students are responsible for making arrangements for tutoring.
Stewardship
Stewardship hours are defined as service that contributes to the welfare of others in the community at large. Students will have the opportunity to make a difference in our Church and surrounding communities through various service and support programs.
• Grades 6-8 will be responsible for contributing stewardship hours to the community at large.
• 6th grade is required 4 hours per quarter. 7th and 8th grades are required 6 hours per quarter.
• Due dates: Oct. 10th, 2014; Dec. 19th,2014; March 6th,2015; May 22nd,2015.
• A grade, equivalent to a project grade, will be recorded in Religion for each quarter.
• Forms to be filled out can be downloaded from the school web site and handed in to the homeroom teacher.
